If you’re looking for a versatile off-roading vehicle with unrivaled style, the new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee might be for you. This year’s model has undergone several significant upgrades compared to last year’s model, and you can choose from a handful of available trim options.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is perfect for anyone who likes taking their adventures off the highways. Several unique features make this vehicle the ideal option for off-roading, even through dirt or mud. As a result, you can drive the 2022 Cherokee down trails, on the beach and in the mountains without worrying about getting stuck.

The Basics

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $37,785, not including the destination fee. The destination fee is added to vehicles that need to be brought to your location from another. Destination fees for the Grand Cherokee start at $1,795.

This Jeep gets a combined fuel efficiency of 22 mpg and has a 23-gallon tank. Comfortable seating for five is available inside, with ample legroom for passengers. The Grand Cherokee has a payload capacity of 1,243 pounds and a towing capacity of 6,200 pounds in the standard trim.

A three-year or 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty is available for new vehicle purchases. Additionally, Jeep offers a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, whichever comes first.

New in 2022

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee looks nearly identical to previous models from the outside. However, this rugged off-roading vehicle has undergone an extensive redesign. That redesign paid particular attention to the cabin. The interior has been upgraded to be more comfortable and luxurious.

But the cabin isn’t the only upgrade. The 2022 model has also been equipped with a new front-axle disconnect system, which can disengage the front wheels when needed. In addition, the new active transfer case system can be helpful if you get stuck in sand or mud because it transfers all the vehicle’s torque to the wheel with the most grip.

Standard Features

The standard trim option has a voice-activated air conditioning system and remote keyless entry. The windows are deeply tinted for ultimate privacy and sun protection, and the vehicle offers illuminated front beverage holders, six speakers, Bluetooth capabilities and a front infotainment monitor.

Key safety features include rear parking sensors and blind-spot warning. In addition, a panic alarm can be activated from inside the vehicle or through the keys. Numerous additional safety features are available in upgraded trim levels.

Available Trim Levels

Five available trim levels are available for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Some of these trim levels have additional packages for a more customized driving experience.

Although most drivers are fine with the standard trim, in some situations a higher trim level is more appropriate. For example, suppose you prefer a more comfortable or luxurious driving experience. In that case, certain trim levels offer suitable features. Some trim levels are explicitly designed to maximize off-roading capabilities. Each of the five available trims is discussed in more depth below.
